Craig helps consumers win relief from not only the inaccuracies that pervade credit and job-related background reports, but also from reporting companies’ and employers’ failures to abide by the FCRA in creating and using those reports. Litigating mainly class-action cases, Craig has represented thousands of consumers in successfully obtaining benefits under the FCRA’s broad protections and has been appointed class counsel by numerous courts across the country.Before joining Consumer Litigation Associates in September 2015, Craig practiced complex and class-action litigation for ten years at one of the country’s most-successful boutique firms. There, Craig developed extensive knowledge of the FCRA as well as class-action procedure, having handled nearly every aspect of consumer class actions from intake, to drafting of complaints and discovery, successfully defeating dispositive motions, obtaining class certification, and negotiating settlements.Immediately following his graduation from South Texas College of Law in Houston, Craig spent one year as the Law Clerk to Justice Eva Guzman of Texas’ Fourteenth Court of Appeals (who now serves on the Supreme Court of Texas). During that time, Craig was responsible for preparing Justice Guzman and her panels on cases set for oral argument, researching and briefing issues raised by appeals, and making recommendations for decisions on those issues. |
