| Description | A native of Lafayette, Louisiana, Andrea L. Albert is a firm Director practicing out of the firm’s Mandeville and New Orleans offices. Andrea is a member of the firm’s Emergency Response Team for transportation matters, assisting clients from the time of the accident through the investigation process. She believes that a quick, thorough investigation is key to long-term, cost-effective management of the claim and potential for pre-suit settlement. Andrea’s practice focuses on defense litigation, from trial through appeal, and includes the areas of transportation and trucking (including cargo claims), employment law, insurance coverage, property damage, premises liability, contractual liability, and personal injury. She represents clients throughout the State of Louisiana and serves as counsel of choice for several of the largest transportation and insurance companies in the country.Andrea enjoys comprehensive experience in state, federal, and appellate courts throughout Louisiana, having argued before all five Louisiana Courts of Appeal, the Louisiana Supreme Court, and the United States Fifth Circuit. Andrea graduated from Loyola University, College of Law, where she served on the Moot Court Board. Upon graduation, Andrea served as a law clerk to the Honorable Marc T. Amy, Louisiana Third Circuit Court of Appeal, which guided her in developing an appellate practice.Andrea is active both in her community and the industries she represents. In 2019, New Orleans’ CityBusiness named Andrea to the Leadership in Law Class. She was named the Executive Women International, New Orleans Chapter Representative of the Year in 2009 and 2012, and was elected to serve as President in 2010 and 2011. Andrea is also a member of the Trucking Industry Defense Association (TIDA), where she serves on the Diversity and Inclusion Committee, and the Transportation Lawyers Association (TLA). She routinely presents continuing education programs for insurance adjusters on topics ranging from bad faith to accident investigation. Since 2017, Andrea has served as a Board Member of the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel. |
