| Description | Frank Tyson, the head attorney of Tyson Law Group, has a well-rounded education and extensive experience as a lawyer. He attended The Ohio State University where he obtained his Bachelors of Art in Political Science and Business. At Ohio State he became a member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity and a member of Varsity O as a swimmer. Later Frank completed his law degree at the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, where he received his Juris Doctor degree. At Cumberland he became a member of the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity.He is presently a member of the Florida and Colorado Bar Associations. As a member of the Florida Bar he is a member of the following sections: Family Law; Real Property, Probate and Trust Law; Tax Law; Elder Law, Health Law and EASL (Entertainment, Art & Sports Law).Frank began working in private practice immediately after law school, and he has accumulated a wealth of experience civil law attorney in both transactional and litigation matters. On the property and transactional side he has handled closings, written title insurance companies, and has represented clients with real estate and small business and corporate legal issues. He also has experience in admiralty law and general averaging insurance claims, representing ship owners, shipping lines, and freight forwarders in South Florida and South America. As past president of Nacasa and Inca Lines, he has traveled extensively to England, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. Frank has litigated many contract and commercial disputes, and has served as an arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association.During the past 40 years and presently he has handled numerous divorces, both simple and complex contested cases. Although many divorce cases are hotly litigated, Frank believes that it doesn’t have to be that way, and the parties can utilize other methods of settling their case outside of the court system. Frank has been very successful using alternate resolution remedies such as arbitration, mediation and collaboration. With collaboration the clients can design their own settlement agreement, with the guidance of their attorneys. In doing so the parties can save money for the family, and feel confident that they can live with a settlement that they themselves designed. His firm also specializes in estate planning, probate and trust matters, including special needs trusts. Frank also enjoys representing clients relative to music law matters as well as other areas of entertainment law.Presently Frank enjoys time with his family and many outdoor activities. He is an avid reader and writer and he serves on the Board of a charity founded by his daughter. |
