| Description | Wayne Capp grew up on his parents’ cattle ranch in the beautiful Bitterroot Valley located in western Montana. He attended Montana State University in Bozeman, graduating in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Justice and went on to graduate from the F.B.I. National Academy in Quantico, Virginia. After a distinguished career of 22 years in law enforcement, Wayne retired from the Montana Department of Justice. He then attended law school at the University of Montana in Missoula, where he was Assistant Editor-in-Chief of the Montana Law Review, graduating in 2005. Wayne is admitted to practice before all Montana State and Federal Courts, as well as the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribal Court. His professional associations include the the State Bar of Montana and the F.B.I. National Academy Associates. Wayne considers community service to be an important part of his life. He volunteers his time to teach bowhunter education for the Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Missoula-Ravalli Transportation Management Association. He is also the President of the Missoula Chapter of the Montana State University Bobcat Club and serves on the Board of Directors for the organization. He is also President of the Missoula Chapter of the Bobcat Quarterback Club and serves as an elected member of the Executive Board of Directors for the state-wide organization. Wayne is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Stevensville Community Foundation. He is a past President of the Professional Bowhunters Society and formerly served the Backcountry Hunters and Anglers as a Director and Executive Committee member. When not working, Wayne enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, including fly-fishing, bowhunting, and golf. Wayne’s hobbies include fly-tying and wood-working. |
