| Description | Mr. West primarily practices in employment law. He has tried numerous cases in court, and he has managed dozens of class and collective action cases from beginning to end.Prior to law school, Mr. West worked for three years as a paralegal with Walmart, Inc., in Bentonville, Arkansas. While working for Wal-Mart, the State Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau, he conducted fact investigations and made recommendations on how to resolve problems and complaints presented by their business clients. Mr. West also conducted client interviews to identify business objectives and formulated plans to accomplish their business objectives. He helped draft warranty policies for the Tire and Lube division, and he regularly reviewed Wal-Mart’s marketing campaigns for legal issues and edited them for compliance with federal advertising regulations.While attending law school, Mr. West earned seven Top Papers in topics ranging from Constitutional Law and Decedents’ Estates to Real Estate Finance and Family Law. In his final year of law school, Mr. West served as an Associate Notes and Comments Editor for the UALR Law Review, and in the Fall of 2012, the Review published his note, Heller, McDonald, and State Prohibitions on Concealed Carry in Churches (online). In the fall of 2011, he served as a judicial extern for Arkansas Supreme Court Justice Robert L. Brown.Mr. West enjoys spending time with his wife Rebecca and his children, Eli, Hannah and Emmarie. He also enjoys woodworking, playing guitar and banjo, hunting, fishing, shooting sports, golf and cheering on the Arkansas Razorbacks. |
