Description | Kathleen (Kathy) Crotty was raised in the Daytona Beach area. After graduating from Seabreeze high school, she attended Jacksonville University where she received a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She subsequently attended the University of Florida Business School where she received a Masters of Business Administration in finance. Following graduation, she joined the firm of Price Waterhouse as a senior accountant. While employed at Price Waterhouse, she earned her certification as a certified public accountant.In 1990, Kathleen returned to the University of Florida to attend law school. While in law school she served as tax editor of the University of Florida Law Review, was inducted into the Order of the Coif and received the Alumni Scholarship Award at her graduation in 1992.Following graduation, Kathy returned to the Daytona Beach area and began practicing law at the firm founded by her father Ambassador E William Crotty. Following his assignment to Barbados, she co-founded Crotty and Bartlett, PA in 1999. She joined Cobb Cole in 2016. The former chairperson of the United Way Foundation Board, she continues to chair the Foundation’s Bylaw Committee and Herbert M. Davidson Award committee. It in addition, she also currently serves on the board of the Ormond Memorial Art Museum, and is a member of the Halifax Civic League, the Humane Society Leadership team, the Daytona Beach Rotary Club, Hillside Cemetery Association and the Checkered Flag Committee at Daytona International Speedway. She has served on the board of St. James Episcopal School as well as being president of the school’s parent-teacher organization. She’s served on the Board of Counselors for Bethune Cookman College for ten years and was chairperson of the organization in 1999. She served on the Florida Fee Arbitration Committee in 2000. She has taught at several locations for the National Business Institute and was a featured speaker at the 2015 United Way Foundation Symposium. |
