| Description | Megan was born and raised in Carpinteria. After attending Carpinteria High School, she graduated cum laude from the University of California, San Diego. She received her law degree from the University of California, Davis in 2018. In law school, she received the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence in Legal Research and Writing. Outside the classroom, she represented victims of domestic violence as a member of the Family Protection and Legal Assistance Clinic. She also participated in the Civil Rights Clinic where she represented a prisoner in a successful appeal of his civil rights action by drafting briefs and arguing in front of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. In recognition of the quality of her legal representation, she received the 2018 Clinical Recognition Award. Megan is a member of the Santa Barbara Bar Association and Santa Barbara Women Lawyers. In her spare time, she enjoys taking her dog to the beach, hiking, and cooking. |
