Mr. Park has a wealth of experience including extensive trial experience both as a prosecutor and defense attorney. Mr. Park’s experience on both sides allows him to be successful at bringing about favorable results for his clients. Mr. Park is a native of the greater Portland, Oregon area, and attended both undergraduate school and law school in Portland. During law school, Mr. Park clerked at the Clackamas County District Attorney’s Office where he first learned the skills necessary to be successful at trial. After law school, Mr. Park began working at the Polk County District Attorney’s Office where he honed his trial skills. Mr. Park left the District Attorney’s Office and began working in criminal defense in 2011. Case Examples: Client charged with multiple counts of various sex crimes. Mr. Park investigated and applying the law to the facts of the case, was able to get nine of seventeen counts dismissed. Client was acquitted on the remaining counts after a jury trial. Client charged in connection with the drowning of a child. At trial, Mr. Park was able to disprove the prosecutor’s theory that the client was under the influence of marijuana at the time of the drowning and that, while tragic, the death of the child was accidental. Client charged with DUII-Cannabis. (Marijuana) Mr. Park analyzed the case and determined that the police opinion that the client was under the influence was not supported by the literature. At trial, the client was acquitted by the jury when Mr. park was able to show to the jury that the police opinion was wrong. |
