| Description | Attorney William D. Catalina is a 2005 graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Law. Prior to becoming an associate attorney with Fontaine Alissi P.C., he served as a judicial research clerk with the Connecticut Superior Court. In this role, Attorney Catalina assisted trial judges in connection with research and writing numerous court decisions. He was involved in both pretrial matters and trials while with the Superior Court, including assisting judges with many medical malpractice trials. Since joining Fontaine Alissi P.C., Mr. Catalina has practiced exclusively in civil litigation. His caseload includes medical and dental malpractice cases, as well as other personal injury and wrongful death actions. He has been responsible for handling cases at all stages of litigation, including case intake and assessment, managing written discovery, drafting and arguing pretrial motions, preparing witnesses for deposition, conducting depositions, and attendance at a variety of court hearings and pretrial conferences. In the fall of 2007, Attorney Catalina sat second chair in defense of an urologist in a medical malpractice trial that resulted in a successful defendant’s verdict. Attorney Catalina is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and the Tort, Trial & Insurance Practice section of the American Bar Association. |
