| Description | Attorney Roberto D. Ugarte, a native of Hanover, Pennsylvania, and a 2011 graduate of Delone Catholic High School, is the newest associate member of Mooney Law. Attorney Ugarte earned a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Saint Joseph’s University in 2015, and his law degree from Widener University Commonwealth Law School in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania in 2018. Attorney Ugarte joined the legal team of Mooney Law in the latter part of 2017 as a law clerk while he completed his final year of law school. During his time as a law clerk in our firm, he conducted research and helped draft legal documents related to personal injury and worker’s compensation issues under the guidance of two managing partners, Jason C. Imler, Esquire and Mark A. Buterbaugh, Esquire. During law school, Attorney Ugarte worked for two summers as a certified legal intern in the York County (PA) District Attorney’s Office. While there, he gained valuable legal experience and the opportunities to participate in various courtroom proceedings including: pre-trial conferences, guilty pleas, suppression hearings, and criminal contempt hearings. Under the supervision of an assistant district attorney, he conducted a full jury trial where a defendant was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, which ultimately resulted in a conviction. Attorney Ugarte passed the July 2018 bar exam and is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania. In 2020, Attorney Ugarte was selected as on of 18 attorneys in Pennsylvania to be named to the PA Bar Association’s Bar Leadership Institute. Attorney Ugarte is looking forward to the opportunity to start his professional career as an attorney and provide legal services to clients living and working in South Central Pennsylvania, his home. In his spare time, he also enjoys traveling, playing golf, pick-up basketball, and spending time with friends and family, including his five younger siblings.
