| Description | Kody is an associate attorney practicing family law, divorce, child custody and support, and family matters affecting the LGBT community. Prior to joining Kirker Davis, LLP, Kody worked closely with the firm’s partners at Zinda & Davis, PLLC as an associate family law attorney. Kody has extensive law experience including previous work as an associate attorney with Ackerman Brown, PLLC, a general practice firm in the District of Columbia, where his areas of practice included domestic relations, domestic violence, business organization and corporate litigation, real estate, personal injury, and LGBT family issues. Kody has also worked as an Assistant Attorney General in the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia in the Child Support Services Division, where he represented the District in paternity and child support prosecution hearings. While at the Office of the Attorney General, Kody also worked as a Special Assistant Attorney General in the Civil Litigation Division, defending the District in breach of contract, employment discrimination, workers compensation, and personal injury matters. Kody graduated from Baylor University School of Law. During his time at Baylor, Kody competed in the Harvey M. Richey Moot Court Competition and Interscholastic Client Counseling Competition, was president of the Baylor Public Interest Law Society, and participated in the Baylor Innocence Project. He also had the privilege of working with the Juvenile Prosecutor for McLennan County District Attorney’s Office on matters relating to the adjudication of delinquent minors. Prior to attending Baylor, Kody received his B.A. in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Nebraska where he graduated with distinction from the University of Nebraska Honors. |
