| Description | Zachary Shafer was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. Mr. Shafer attended Skidmore College in Saratoga Spring, New York, receiving a Bachelor’s of Art degree. Mr. Shafer graduated from law school in 2009. Upon graduating from law school, Mr. Shafer began working for the Office of the Public defender in Duval County, where he spent several years honing his skills as a litigator. Mr. Shafer has represented thousands of clients during his time as a criminal defense attorney. He is not afraid to make the state prove its case to a jury, at a trial. Mr. Shafer has gone to trial on numerous felony and misdemeanor charges, including: DUI, trespass, petit theft, Making threats, Domestic and Simple battery, Drug Possession, Grand Theft, Burglary, Sexual Battery, Sexual battery on a minor, Lewd and Lascivious Molestation, and Attempted murder. One notable DUI victory involved a gentleman who crashed his car into the backyard of an off-duty Jacksonville Sheriff’s Offices, who watched the whole thing. At trial, Mr. Shafer was successful in asserting that the state has failed to prove that the Defendant was in fact driving. As a result, the Defendant avoided a conviction and a possible lengthy jail sentence. Zachary Shafer joined Robert Shafer and Associates, P.A. in 2012, bringing his trial experience to benefit our clients. |
