| Description | Attorney Anthony Michel represents individuals who have experienced employment issues and personal injury throughout Alabama including Birmingham, Huntsville, and Tuscaloosa. Anthony found his calling in the practice of employment law. Representing employees and small business owners in employment related matters is not only Anthony’s job, but his passion. Through his practice, Anthony devotes a large portion to representing and providing legal guidance to individuals in executive and management positions who are employed by national and international companies. Over the years, Anthony has successfully tried numerous jury trials, and recovered millions for his clients through litigation and alternative dispute resolution. Anthony has successfully mediated and arbitrated hundreds of employment disputes. And, in addition to representing individuals and businesses in the private sector, Anthony prosecutes discrimination claims on behalf of federal employees against federal agencies throughout the Southeast. Anthony, also represents professionally licensed individuals throughout the State of Alabama, including attorneys, physicians, and nurses, in front of their respective licensing boards and committees. Anthony attended the University of Alabama, wherein he majored in Political Science and minored in English. While at Alabama, Anthony was named to the Dean’s List, participated in the University’s Honors Program, and volunteered for various community minded actives. During his tenure at the University of Alabama, Anthony worked for a national distribution company and national trucking company. Anthony’s employment during college gave him valuable insight into employment disputes and working conditions his clients face today. After earning his undergraduate degree, Anthony attended and graduated from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law. While attending Cumberland Anthony was named to the Dean’s List, selected as a Merit Scholar, and served on the school’s Trial Board as the Director of Arbitration. During law school, Anthony worked for a prominent Birmingham based plaintiff’s firm, and for two (2) district attorneys’ offices. While working for the Bessemer, Alabama District Attorney’s Office, Anthony tried and won his first jury trial as a third-year law student. And now, as a Cumberland alumnus, Anthony serves as a guest speaker and judges various trial, mediation, and arbitration competitions. Anthony and his wife, Erica, are proud parents of three (3) children, two (2) boys and one (1) girl. In his free time, Anthony enjoys spending time with his wife and children, participating in community minded activities, and coaching his children’s sports teams. |
