| Description | Billie A. Medoff has lived in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area for over thirty years after growing up in New Hampshire. She graduated from the George Mason University School of Law in May 2012 and was admitted to the Virginia Bar that October. While at GMUSL, Ms. Medoff was a member of the Student Bar Association and participated in both the Domestic Relations Legal Clinic, interning with leading domestic relations attorneys in Northern Virginia, and the Virginia Practice Legal Clinic where she interned with Legal Services of Northern Virginia. Upon graduation Ms. Medoff was named the 2012 George Mason University School of Law winner of the Virginia State Bar’s Domestic Relations Award for excellence in family law as a law student. Ms. Medoff practices primarily family law and handles divorces with custody, support and equitable distribution elements; post-divorce modifications; and uncontested divorces. Ms. Medoff excels in the negotiation, preparation and implementation of settlement agreements, including the division of complex financial assets such as real estate, businesses, pensions, retirement accounts and investment accounts. Ms. Medoff understands the personal, family and professional turmoil that marital conflicts can cause and works extensively with her clients to resolve these matters in their, and their children’s, best interests. Prior to law school, Ms. Medoff had a twenty year career in print and online directional advertising, specializing in operations management, marketing and project management. She earned her Bachelors of Art Cum Laude in Political Science from American University and her Masters of Business Administration from George Washington University. She lives in Northern Virginia with her husband, two daughters and two cats. |
