| Description | Brandon Erickson is a seasoned and experienced attorney with roots in North Dakota. Today he focuses his practice on Estate Planning and Probate work along with General Litigation. He believes his role as an Estate Planning attorney is to help individuals and families prepare for, what will we do when that inevitable day comes?Originally from Wilton, North Dakota, Brandon graduated from Bismarck High School. He earned a Political Science degree at the University of North Dakota, a Master’s degree from California State University, Fresno, and graduated from the Fowler School of Law at Chapman University in Orange, California. At Chapman, Brandon worked on an advisory panel focused on setting up the West Coast’s first Veterans Legal Clinic providing free legal services to military veterans. Upon graduation from law school, he was selected as a Presidential Management Fellow, and worked for the U.S. Space and Missile Command at Los Angeles Air Force base.Brandon was a member of the North Dakota Army National Guard and served in Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star medals. Following his honorable discharge, Brandon participated in several North Dakota military and university conferences as a keynote speaker on the subject Leadership through Crisis: Never Leave a Fallen Comrade.He began his legal career as a Deputy District Attorney for El Dorado County in California. After four years as a prosecutor, Brandon started his own law firm in California. In the early months of 2020, he and his family decided they would return to North Dakota to be closer to family. In July of 2020, Brandon joined O’Keeffe O’Brien Lyson & Foss in Fargo.Recognized by clients and peers as a very caring person, Brandon is focused on helping individuals and families navigate the legal system, preparing Estate Plans that will assure their wishes are clearly understood. He believes a properly prepared Estate Plan provides piece of mind for his clients and their families and is essential for every family no matter what the age or dynamics. He helps people prepare everything from simple Wills to complexed Estate Plans.Having been a courtroom litigator for several years, Brandon believes his diligence in preparing well and working hard to represent clients is his strong suit. His record of success as a courtroom litigator is proof of his focus on meticulous preparation. |
