Come see the show in August 2018 and DONATE as often as you can!In the past six years, Night Court has been able to contribute over half a million dollarsto the following legal charities:- The Houston Area Women’s Center Children’s Court Services Program which assists child victims of crime and/or witnesses to crimes and their families as they participate in the criminal justice system;- Lone Star Legal Aid – Veterans Unit which provides free legal aid to veterans who need assistance.- The Aid to Victims of Domestic Violence which provides legal services to women who have been domestically abused but have little access to information on legal rights or the services of an attorney;- The Tahirih Justice Project that focuses on helping female immigrants and human trafficking victims seeking justice in the United States from gender-based violence;- The Family Intervention and Infant Toddler Court which helps families experiencing substance abuse problems work though the legal system with a focus on reuniting families and maintaining the family unit;- The Beacon’s Beacon Law Program which meets the daily needs of hundreds of homeless men and women while also empowering them with housing case management, appropriate program referrals, and civil legal aid.- South Texas College of Law Houston Legal Clinics which offers students the chance to learn valuable, real-world legal skills by providing critical legal representation to traditionally under-represented populations; and- Child Advocates mobilizes court appointed volunteers to break the vicious cycle of child abuse.
