| Description | Bruce W. Sarbaugh has been a practicing trial attorney in the Boulder area for the past 23 years, representing clients in both civil litigation and criminal defense matters. Mr. Sarbaugh has represented clients as Of Counsel in civil disputes, including personal injury, breach of contract, bad faith insurance claims, and 1983 civil rights violations in both state and federal courts. In addition, Mr. Sarbaugh has represented clients in numerous appeals and was lead counsel in a precedent case before the Colorado Supreme Court.In his private practice, a significant portion of Mr. Sarbaugh’s caseload involves representation of clients accused of criminal offenses, with particular emphasis on defending against DUI and DUID charges, and landlord/tenant disputes. Mr. Sarbaugh has extensive training in DUI investigations, the mechanics and scientific principles of roadside sobriety maneuvers, breath testing devices, as well as blood testing through Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry. Mr. Sarbaugh has litigated hundreds of DUI cases during his career, taking numerous cases to jury trials. Mr. Sarbaugh also specializes in defense of college students at the University of Colorado, where he spends part of his time as the Legal Advisor to CU’s Off-Campus Housing office.Mr. Sarbaugh is a member of the Colorado and Boulder Bar Associations, the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar, and was recently honored with admittance into the National College of DUI Defense. Mr. Sarbaugh has served on numerous committees through the City of Boulder in development of policies and procedures involving CU students, is the Chairman of the CU Landlord/Tenant Advisory Board, and serves as legal counsel for North Boulder Little League. Mr. Sarbaugh also serves on the Board of Directors of several local small businesses, including 5280 Karate, where he obtained his Black Belt in Tae Kwan Do in 2011. |
