She is passionate about counseling her clients in every aspect of their case and is dedicated to giving each client the individual time and representation that they deserve. She believes in advocating for and guiding her clients through every step of the legal process.She handles general civil law, tenant/landlord matters, employment law, estate planning, contract law, real estate, property, and business planning matters. Mrs. Christie R. DeHaan graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 2012 with a degree in Political Science. She is a recent alumnus of the Valparaiso University School of Law. Attorney DeHaan is admitted to practice law before the Indiana Supreme Court, Northern District of Indiana, any court located in Indiana, and is a member of the Lake County Bar Association. Christie is currently the Vice President on the Executive Board of the Highland-Griffith Chamber of Commerce. She will serve as the Chamber’s President for the year of 2021. Christie also serves on the Board of Directors for the Prairie Trails Homeowners Association. Mrs. DeHaan participates as a speaker for NBI continued learning education seminars, teaching two in the last year. She is a member of the Women Lawyers Association and is passionate about being a strong female role model.
