| Description | CINDY M. YU graduated from Rutgers University in 1996 and received her J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2003. While attending law school, she was competitively selected to serve as an Alexander Fellow in a full-time externship with Honorable William G. Bassler (ret.) in the U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey in Newark, New Jersey. She was also competitively selected for the Heyman/ACCA In-House Counsel Internship with the Colgate-Palmolive Company in the area of Trademark Litigation. She also served as the Senior Internet Editor on the Cardozo Online Journal of Conflict Resolution. Ms. Yu has more than 13 years of litigation experience, with a focus in construction defect litigation, construction accident liability, products liability, professional liability, premises liability, and transportation/motor vehicle liability. She has successfully handled multi-million dollar claims against clients in commercial and residential construction projects. She represented the construction manager and served as the lead defense attorney in the high-profile East 51st Street Crane Collapse Litigation in New York, which consisted of wrongful death, subrogation, personal injury, and property damage claims exceeding $100 million. Ms. Yu is admitted to and practices in the State of New York, the State of New Jersey, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the District of New Jersey. She is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association. |
