| Description | David Merritt, a South Florida native, is both a graduate from University of Florida, where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, and Florida State University, where he received his law degree in 2009. During law school, he was on the Dean’s List and received the top final grade in his Constitutional Law class.During law school, he served as a Legislative Intern at the Florida House of Representatives. Following graduation, Mr. Merritt settled in Fleming Island, Florida and went to work for Kenny Leigh & Associates. He chose to work at Kenny Leigh and Associates because he strongly believes in the firm’s mission, and in protecting the rights of fathers around the state of Florida. He has been with the firm since 2009, and was named the Director of West Florida in 2014.Mr. Merritt uses his extensive knowledge of family law and years of experience to help our clients navigate some of the most challenging family law disputes. He served three years on the Florida Family Law Inns of Court and is an elder at his church. When not working, he enjoys spending time and traveling with his wife and daughter, and their golden retriever. |
