| Description | David W. Fineman was born and raised in Southwest Florida and is a graduate of Florida Gulf Coast University, where he received his B.S. in Legal Studies and Criminal Justice. In 2007, David obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Barry University School of Law. While in law school, David served as a Certified Legal Intern for the State Attorney’s Office of the Ninth Judicial Circuit, which allowed him to prosecute several criminal cases for the state of Florida. David was a Senior Note and Comment Editor on Barry University’s Law Review and graduated second in his class. He was invited to be a speaker at the Fifth District Court of Appeals Induction Ceremony as a result of achieving one of the top scores on the Florida Bar 2007 summer exam. Something people often don’t know about attorney David W. Fineman is that he was actually a deputy for the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office and for the Punta Gorda Police Department. David’s devotion to helping others, coupled with his power to empathize with people who are going through hard situations, is what makes him a fantastic attorney. David always tells his clients come back and see me if you ever need anything, and he means it. Being a man of his word is something David stands by, and you can always count on him to get the job done and get it done right. Do we have any dog lovers out there? David is also a fur dad to the cutest pup, Gracie! Mr. David W. Fineman, Esq.’s Resume David is licensed to practice in all state courts in Florida and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. He began practicing law in Punta Gorda, Florida in 2007. Since becoming licensed, David has worked in various areas of law, including personal injury, land use, construction law, real estate law, landlord/tenant law, judgment enforcement, and association law. However, David focused his practice around consumer protection, foreclosure defense, and bankruptcy. Prior to practicing law, David served the community as a law enforcement officer, serving as a deputy for the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office and a police officer for the Punta Gorda Police Department as both an auxiliary and full-time member for a combined 10 years of service. David is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the American Bar Association, the Charlotte County Bar Association, and the Charlotte and Lee County Young Professionals.
