Elizabeth then received her J.D. from University of St. Thomas School of Law. While at St. Thomas Law, Elizabeth was on Law Review and participated in the school’s peer mentor program. Elizabeth is still active at St. Olaf as a mentor through the St. Olaf Career Network, answering questions and providing advice regarding law school and the legal profession.Elizabeth knew early in her legal career that she wanted to practice criminal defense. Prior to entering to law school, she interned at the Rice County Attorney’s Office. Since she began law school, 100% of her focus was criminal defense. Throughout law school she was involved with various organizations. She interned with Caplan & Tamburino Law Firm, P.A., she had a mentor at the Hennepin County Public Defender’s Office, she interned with the United States Federal Defender’s Office for the District of Minnesota, and she externed with the former Chief Judge of Hennepin County District Court Criminal Division.Elizabeth has been named a Rising Star in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. She is admitted to practice in the State of Minnesota, the federal District of Minnesota, the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.Outside of work, Elizabeth teaches violin and guitar and plays bass in multiple bands around Minneapolis. |
