| Description | Ethan Baker joined the firm of McLeod, Alexander, Powel and Apffel, PC in 2018, focusing his practice primarily in real estate, probate and estate planning. He also handles matters in the areas of banking, business transactions and general civil litigation.Mr. Baker received his Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Texas A&M University in 2004, before attending law school at South Texas College of Law in Houston. After earning his Juris Doctorate in 2008, Mr. Baker began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney for Galveston County. During his two years at the Galveston County District Attorney’s office, he was involved in the prosecution of all types of misdemeanor and felony cases and tried several cases before both judge and jury.In 2011, Mr. Baker left the Galveston County District Attorney’s office to begin his career in private practice. While working as an associate with a local Galveston firm, Mr. Baker had the opportunity to represent a number of corporate and individual clients, including several local banks and title insurance companies. This experience has allowed Mr. Baker to handle a wide array of matters and gain a wealth of knowledge in the areas of real estate, probate, banking, and general civil litigation.In his personal time, Mr. Baker enjoys spending time with his family, as well as getting outdoors to hunt and fish.
