In 1996, he was the recipient of a Rotary International Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarship.Prior to joining Becker & Hebert, Mr. Doherty practiced at Voorhies & Labbe and Frederick & Doherty for sixteen years. He has extensive experience in the areas of Insurance Defense and Coverage Litigation, Commercial Transactions and Litigation, Construction Law and Litigation, Wills and Successions and Admiralty/Maritime Law.Mr. Doherty is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state courts; the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
