Education Jim L. Delgado was born in El Paso, Texas, and graduated from J.M. Hanks High School. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was an Inertial Navigation Systems Specialist on F-4 Wild Weasels. He graduated, summa cum laude, from the inter-American University of Puerto Rico. He then graduated from Stetson College of Law and received a master’s degree in business administration from Stetson University. Specialization After law school, Jimmy went to work for the Public Defender’s Office in Bradenton. While there, he gained valuable trial experience in criminal defense law in both misdemeanor and felony divisions. Jimmy began his employment at Kallins & Little in October 1999 and was named partner in June of 2004. He practices primarily in the areas of personal injury and criminal defense. Community Due to his involvement in the community, Delgado received the Manatee County Bar Association Community Service Award 2007 and the Florida Trends Best Up and Coming Attorneys Award in 2008. Jimmy Delgado is a past president of the Gulf Coast Latin Chamber of Commerce and past president of the Manatee Educational Television. He has served as a member of the Central Economic Development Committee, Manatee Community Action Agency, Legal Aid of Manasota, and Community Leadership Council for USF Sarasota-Manatee. He has also served as an attorney coach for St. Stephens Episcopal School Mock Trial Team and served as a judge in the Teen Court Program at the Manatee County Courthouse. Jimmy was awarded the 2018 William Grimes Lifetime Achievement Award for Community Service by the Manatee County Bar Association.
