| Description | Jonathan T. Baker is a Florida native, having been raised in Venice. Jonathan is an associate with Mizell & Mays Law Firm, P.A. where he practices in the areas of wills, trusts, estate planning and estate administration. He is a member of The Florida Bar and Charlotte County Bar Association.Before joining Mizell & Mays Law Firm, P.A., Jonathan served clients in Charlotte and Sarasota counties in real estate law, estate planning, probate and trust administration. Prior to entering these fields, Jonathan practiced in commercial litigation. As a litigator, he advocated for hospitals and homeowner associations in lawsuits of various kinds. Shortly after law school, Jonathan also proudly served the Florida House of Representatives in Tallahassee as a committee attorney.Jonathan attended Florida State University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and real estate, as well as a Juris Doctor degree magna cum laude. In law school, Jonathan won a statewide legal essay contest which provided him the opportunity to present his work before the Annual Convention of the Florida Bar and the Florida Lawyers Mutual Insurance Company. Before arriving in Charlotte County, Jonathan gave his time and efforts to the Sarasota County Bar Association, Sarasota Seminole Club, Christian Legal Society, the Success in Numbers chapter of Business Network International, and to his church as co-leader of a young professionals’ group. He enjoys playing guitar, reading and travelling. |
