| Description | Kirk Olson was born in Nashville, Tennessee and moved with his family to Oklahoma in 1972 when his father was transferred by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. As a child and a young adult, Mr. Olson saw his father work as an FBI Agent to protect the rights and freedoms of all people, regardless of race or religion. As a result of these experiences, Mr. Olson developed a strong sense of what is right, and what is wrong. This passion serves as the motivation for Mr. Olson to help others, regardless of their situation. In 1984, Mr. Olson proudly graduated from Northeast High School in Oklahoma City. In 1988, Mr. Olson received a Bachelor of Science Degree in political science from Oklahoma State University and in 1992, a Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Oklahoma. While at the University of Oklahoma College of Law, Mr. Olson served as research editor of the Oklahoma Law Review. Mr. Olson is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, the Oklahoma County Bar Association, the Oklahoma Association for Justice, and the American Bar Association. Mr. Olson is a former barrister of the Luther Bohannon American Inn of Court. He is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals Tenth Circuit, and the United States District Court of the Western, Northern and Eastern Districts of Oklahoma. In addition, he handles cases throughout the State of Oklahoma.Mr. Olson has received Martindale-Hubbell’s prestigious AV rating, which indicates that his peers rank him at the highest level of professional excellence. In 2008, the Oklahoma County Bar Association awarded him the Leadership in Law Award. Mr. Olson served with distinction for over 10 years in the Oklahoma/Arkansas Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, served a 4-year term on its Board of Directors and was awarded the McDaniel Man of the Year Award by the Alzheimer’s Association.Mr. Olson has over 27 years of legal experience representing injured plaintiffs in the areas of catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, sexual abuse and misconduct lawsuits, Alzheimer’s/Nursing Home abuse, semi-tractor trailer collisions, and insurance dispute cases.Mr. Olson has three children, Sam, Emily, and Luke Olson. With his children, he enjoys attending various Oklahoma sporting events, and watching his children compete in athletic, dance, and debate competitions. |
