Tanner has been with Hepworth & Associates since 2015, and he specializes in criminal defense and contract disputes. Tanner understands just how much is at stake for his criminally accused clients, and he works to provide both comfort and zealous representation to his clients. He understands the trust his clients place in him, and he goes to great lengths to earn and reward that trust. Tanner also handles civil matters, specializing primarily in contract disputes and litigation. Tanner is at home both with written advocacy and in the courtroom. He has a strong trial record, and has argued dozens of motions in court. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where he worked for Judge F. Stephen Collins in Colorado’s 18th Judicial District, writing draft opinions for both criminal and civil matters. He received his Bachelor’s of Science in philosophy from Kansas State University. Tanner is an avid skier, cyclist, and climber. He is an active member of the Salt Lake Climbers Alliance, the American Alpine Club, and the Access Fund.
