| Description | Marta Maria Diaz is the newest addition to the Blaszkow Legal team. With over six years of experience in immigration law, she specializes in: asylum, special immigrant Juvenile visas, complex adjustment cases, complex naturalization cases, family based sponsorship cases, U visas, U visa Adjustments and I-90s. Marta has also prepared VAWA cases, cancellation of removal cases, H-1Bs, L1’s, TNs, E-3s, and more.Before law school, Marta worked at a large corporate immigration firm, where she handled H-1Bs and L’s. While in law school, she worked full-time at a mid-sized corporate immigration law firm, where she worked on H-1Bs, TN’s and E-3s. She then transitioned to a smaller firm that specialized in asylum and complex family-based matters. Marta later interned at Hogar Immigrant Services – CCDA, a well-known non-profit in the DMV area. She has also volunteered with the South Texas Pro Bono Asylum Representation Project (ProBAR) in Harlingen Texas, helping adult detainees at the border.Marta received her JD from George Mason Law School where she headed the Immigration Law Society and was recognized for her achievements in pro bono work. She has an MA in Latin American Studies from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and received her BA in Political Science from Villanova University.Marta is a fluent Spanish speaker. She also speaks Portuguese and Italian. During her free time, Marta loves practicing yoga, going out for long walks, baking, and checking out new restaurants and cuisines. She is also an avid music lover. Marta enjoys volunteering her time with various non-profits in the area to provide legal assistance to low- income immigrants. She has always had a passion for helping others and working with people who generally do not have access to legal services.
