Matthew Cano earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Texas School of Law in 1985, and his bachelor of arts in criminal justice from St. Edwards University in Austin. Matthew Cano was an Assistant City Attorney in Corpus Christi, Texas, for three years and also practiced insurance defense law there for more than 12 years.
