| Description | Olivia Devonmille is a former Florida Workers’ Compensation Judge which gives her a unique perspective when representing injured workers. Her first exposure to Florida’s Workers’ Compensation Law occurred in the 1980’s when she sustained an injury while working at the State Attorney’s Office. Her claim was denied, and she was forced to hire a lawyer to represent her. In 1987, shortly after prevailing in her Workers’ Compensation claim, she started to practice in the area of Workers’ Compensation Law. Five years later, in 1992, Olivia was appointed by Governor Lawton Chiles to the position of Judge of Compensation Claims. Olivia was re-appointed to this position in 1996. Since 2008, Olivia has concentrated her practice in the representation of injured workers. Olivia is a lifelong resident of the Treasure Coast and is a descendant of one of the original founding families of St. Lucie County. Olivia is a 1981 graduate of Duke University where she was awarded a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. Olivia graduated from The Florida State University College of Law in 1983 and was admitted to The Florida Bar in 1984. She has served on the Grievance Committee for six years. She is a member of the Indian River County Bar Association, the Florida Justice Association (FJA), Florida Workers’ Advocates (FWA) and the Florida Association of Women Lawyers (FAWL).
