| Description | Joining Feldstein Grinberg Lang & McKee in January of 2016, Rachel primarily works in the firm’s Family Law practice. She is involved in a wide range of Domestic Law cases, including divorce, custody, support, adoption, and juvenile matters. She also occasionally assists in other practice areas in the firm, such as civil litigation and bankruptcy. In May of 2012, Rachel graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, with a B.A. in Political Science, Criminal Justice, and East Asian Languages and Cultures with a focus in Japanese. She continued her education that fall at Lewis & Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon, and received her J.D. in January of 2015. At Lewis & Clark, Rachel was a source checker and associate editor for the Animal Law Review, a member of two legal clinics (the National Crime Victim Law Institute Clinic and the Animal Law Clinic), and a selected participant in the school’s Kenya Legal Project in Nairobi, Kenya. She gained experience through a judicial internship with a family law judge in Portland, during which she was able to participate in and observe trial proceedings and settlement conferences involving a number of different family law matters, such as divorce, custody, guardianship, adoption, and juvenile matters. She also conducted independent legal research on a variety of family law topics and drafted legal memoranda and opinions. As a member of the Pennsylvania and Allegheny County Bar Associations, Rachel is involved in the Women in the Law and Young Lawyers Divisions of the ACBA. She also does pro bono work through the Divorce Law Project and the Neighborhood Legal Services Association. Rachel grew up in Lafayette, Indiana, and made Pittsburgh her home in the fall of 2015. She lives in Point Breeze with her husband and two cats. |
