| Description | Rayma is a problem solver. When a client comes in, he or she has a problem and it is my job to resolve it. Sometimes we do that through settlement, sometimes through law and motion, and sometimes it means having to go to trial. Regardless, I enjoy helping the client, getting to know their business and the challenges presented by the case. Rayma was one of the first women to be inducted into the Central California Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates, an organization dedicated to upholding the jury system and invites only reputable attorneys with at least 20 jury trials to become members. Rayma’s primary area of practice is civil litigation involving agribusiness disputes, personal injury and employment claims. She is a member of the Fresno County Farm Bureau and California Citrus Mutual.Born and raised in the San Joaquin Valley, she graduated from California State University Fresno in 1987 and from the San Joaquin College of Law in 1991. Two years later, she successfully argued before the California Supreme Court in Gooch v Hendrix (1993) 5 Cal.4th 266, a case that remains significant in the area of election law. Rayma is admitted to practice in California and before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals as well as the Northern, Central and Eastern Districts of the U.S. District Courts of California. |
