| Description | Sara Humphries has extensive experience in civil litigation and appeals and family law. She is certainly well-prepared as a civil litigator and appellate attorney, earning an advanced legal degree (LL.M.) in the areas of constitutional law, federal courts, and appellate advocacy. As a family law attorney her emphasis is on prenuptial agreements and child dependency and parental rights. PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE AND ADVANCED COURSEWORK Sara earned her BA from the Queens University of Charlotte in 2000, and her Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in 2003. Further in 2011 Pennsylvania State University awarded her the LL.M. (Legum Magister) advanced law degree. She clerked with two law firms during her coursework, starting in 1998. Sara rapidly became a part of the Kitsap community when she moved her in 2005 as a military spouse. She served on the board of Kitsap Legal Services and the Kitsap County Bar Association honored her for that volunteer work with their Humanitarian Award. Currently, she continues to volunteer regularly with the KLS Housing Clinic. Her experience with pro bono work in tenants law with KLS was invaluable in winning a $332,000 jury verdict for a Kitsap small business as a part of a GSJones Law Group litigation team. Her many years as a foster parent adds practical insight to her legal knowledge in child dependency law. Sara enjoys spending time with her family, singing and volunteering in her church and community. |
