Mr. Rutman is admitted to practice in the courts of Florida, New York, and New Jersey and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Prior to joining Rafool, LLC, Mr. Rutman litigated complex nursing home malpractice and commercial litigation matters at a boutique law firm in New York City. Mr. Rutman has assisted clients in every facet of litigation, in the negotiating of commercial real estate leases, in business contract drafting, and has also represented clients before the New York State Liquor Authority. He also assisted plaintiffs’ national lead trial counsel with the multi-district litigation against leading airbag manufacturer, Takata, and against multinational automotive manufacturers. Mr. Rutman’s varied experience brings a new perspective to the Rafool, LLC.Mr. Rutman received his J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York, graduating in the top 20% of his class. In addition, Mr. Rutman served as the Event Coordinator of Cardozo’s Art Law Society. During law school, Mr. Rutman interned with the late Justice Arthur M. Schack of the New York Supreme Court in Kings County, with the New York City Police Department’s Licensing Division, and with the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office. Mr. Rutman earned his undergraduate degree in Art History from Boston College in 2008. |
