Description | Warren Power is a founding member of the firm and has more than thirty (30) years of professional legal experience. Warren has an AV rating with Martindale-Hubbell’s Bar Registry which is the highest attainable rating as to skill level and integrity. Warren earned his two (2) bachelor’s degrees from Christopher Newport University in Virginia and his JD degree from Mercer University. Warren is admitted to practice before all State and Federal Courts in Georgia, the United States Eleventh Circuit and the United States Court of Federal Claims. Warren has also been admitted pro hac vice in Alabama and Tennessee. Warren is a member of the Virginia Bar. Warren has hosted and lectured extensively on the topics of land use and eminent domain since 2003. He has extensive experience as an author and lecturer on topics such as eminent domain, inverse condemnation and eminent domain trials. In addition to trying numerous jury trials and mediations, Warren has served as a mediator at the request of his peers in condemnation cases. Warren is a Past Chair of the Eminent Domain Section of the State Bar. Warren is a Super Lawyer, has been recognized by U.S. News and World Report as a ‘Best Lawyers’ of America since 2009 and has a 10.0 superb’ rating from AVVO Lawyers Rating, which is the highest attainable rating. Warren has extensive experience representing clients in land use matters focusing primarily in the complex area of eminent domain. Warren has represented the Georgia Department of Transportation since 1997. Additionally, other governmental entities such as Butts, Clayton and Henry Counties, and the cities of Atlanta, Brookhaven, Decatur, Fayetteville and McDonough have retained Warren to represent them in their eminent domain projects. Warren has represented the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and has served as a Special Assistant Attorney General for the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, the Georgia Regional Transit Authority, and the Technical College System of Georgia. Warren has also represented property owners against the local and federal governments. Warren has represented property owners against all of the cities in Henry County; the City of Riverdale, the City of Sandy Springs, Henry, Clayton, DeKalb and Bibb counties; and the United States of America.
