Secured payments for defense costs and for fees from Directors & Officers insurance carrier of hotel management company. Negotiated with two insurance carriers and reached agreement whereby insurers shared millions of dollars in costs to defend client from lawsuit. Filed lawsuit for homeowner facing Superstorm Sandy losses. Lawsuit alleged bad faith conduct by insurance company and included allegations against insurance broker who placed coverage. Case successfully settled at mediation. Led teams who successfully mediated a number of additional Superstorm Sandy loss claims. Conducted internal investigation leading to dismissal of lawsuit. |
