Mr. Nelson has cases pending in the Bronx, Brooklyn, New York, Queens, Staten Island as well as in Nassau Counties. He also represents clients in arbitrations conducted by the American Arbitration Association and other private arbitration firms. Mr. Nelson, in addition to serving the people of the State of New York in the courts, expends a significant amount of time in philanthropic, social justice and community activities. He is a member of J Street Pro-Israel Action Team and has lobbied congress as a team leader on behalf of its pro-Israel, peace platform. He has served as a moderator for the Women’s League of Voters of Westchester and as a coach in the Larchmont Mamaroneck Youth Soccer League. He writes poetry and his poems have been published in local Westchester County newspapers. Mr. Nelson was admitted to practice law in the courts of the State of New York in 1991, (MSB Score top 10%) and the Southern and Eastern District Federal Courts located in New York in 1995. He received his law degree in 1990 from Hofstra University, School of Law, where he was honored to serve the student law clerk for Hon. Jacob Mishler, United States District Court, Eastern District of New York and as a member of the Hofstra Labor and Employment Law Journal. He received his undergraduate degree in 1986 from Skidmore College. Mr. Nelson is a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and was honored to served on its amicus committee from 2002 to 2012.
