He uses that knowledge to prepare the best defense to your criminal charges.Mr. Butler also represents Constitutional Officers such as Sheriffs and provides a variety of legal services to law enforcement agencies. The perspective of a prosecutor and defense attorney provides valuable insight into the many issues a law enforcement agency faces on a daily basis, especially 4th Amendment and 8th Amendment issues. Additionally, Mr. Butler recognizes that a law enforcement agency is a business that must make valid business decisions, especially in the area of employment issues. Mr. Butler can assist your agency in developing employment policies, handling employment issues, civil service and department of labor appeals hearings and reductions in force/restructuring.Mr. Butler graduated from Mars Hill College in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. He worked as a biologist helping industry, land owners and land developers navigate the variety of rules and regulations imposed on them by the state and federal governments. His work as a biologist inspired him to change careers and he enrolled in law school at Georgia State University’s College of Law. Mr. Butler was a member of the College of Law’s Moot Court and served on the Moot Court Board as Vice President of Appellate Advocacy. Mr. Butler graduated cum laude and has been a member of the State Bar of Georgia since 2005. |
