Emily is licensed to practice in DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Emily joined RZL in 2018, after spending two summers at the firm as a law clerk. Since joining the firm, she has handled cases originating from gas explosions, shooting deaths, medical malpractice, automobile and pedestrian collisions, defective products, and dog bites. Emily brings attention to detail to every case, and is a passionate and devoted advocate for her clients. Prior to joining RZL, Emily graduated magna cum laude from the University of Richmond and cum laude from Wake Forest University School of Law. At Wake Forest, she was a legal writing teaching assistant and active member of the Moot Court Board, serving as its Chief Justice. Emily competed in the National Moot Court Competition, where her team placed second in its region and earned a top-ten score for its legal brief among law schools nationwide. She is a member of the Order of the Barristers, a national honorary organization that recognizes achievements in legal writing and oral advocacy. Emily is currently serving as a co-chair of the New Lawyers Division of the District of Columbia Trial Lawyers Association, a co-chair of the Young Lawyers Committee of the Women’s Bar Association of the District of Columbia, and was selected to be a member of the Young Lawyers Network Leadership Council of the District of Columbia Bar Foundation.
