Earlier in her career, she also defended clients in criminal matters and worked on juvenile criminal cases.Kaitlin earned a Juris Doctorate degree from Campbell University School of Law in Raleigh, North Carolina, where she achieved several honors, competed in Moot Court and obtained the NCBA Practical Training Certification. She was also active in the Pro Bono Council, Service Animal Workshop Project, Campbell Law Innocence Project, Wills/Advance Directives Project, Christian Legal Society, Women in Law, and served as a mentor.During her legal studies, Kaitlin worked as a legal research assistant at Campbell Law School, and was a legal intern for the North Carolina Real Estate Commission, the Administrative Office of the Courts in Raleigh and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of North Carolina. She was also a file clerk and intern at two law firms while pursuing her undergraduate degrees.Kaitlin completed dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in criminology and political science with a law and justice concentration and a minor in forensic science from North Carolina State University. She was a member of the Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity.
