| Description | Kara joined McLane Middleton in 2006. As a corporate and transactional lawyer, Kara represents private companies and their owners on a wide variety of corporate law matters including entity formation, negotiation of complex contracts, mergers and acquisitions, private security offerings, and general corporate governance. Kara works with clients in a wide range of industries, including high technology, financial services, manufacturing, and health care. As a member of the firm’s Healthcare Practice Group, Kara works closely with health care providers on corporate, contracting, institutional and professional licensure, employment, and provider transitions matters, including equity buy-outs and buy-ins. She has experience in regulatory compliance matters including Stark and Anti-Kickback law, HIPAA, and fraud and abuse issues. Kara supports physicians, physician groups, and other medical professionals to address both the legal requirements and the practical realities facing health care providers.In 2014 and 2015, Kara taught Mergers and Acquisitions as an Adjunct Professor at the University of New Hampshire School of Law.Kara lives in New Hampshire with her husband and two young sons.
