| Description | Sven Smith, Ph.D., J.D., has over ten years experience in litigation primarily in the area of real estate law. Sven Smith was a senior attorney for the Division of Real Estate as well as the lead appraisal prosecutor for the State of Florida, responsible for prosecuting violations of licensing standards but also drafting the rules that govern professional appraisal practice. Dr. Smith has been involved in detailed real estate and commercial litigation. He has handled dozens of trials and hundreds of hearings inclusive of arbitration and formal mediation.He has used this experience in his work performing research for the American Bar Foundation as well as teaching law related courses at the University of Florida and Stetson University. Dr. Smith is currently a full-time visiting professor at Stetson. Dr. Smith is of-counsel to the firm, and assists in its real estate litigation practice. |
