| Description | As a third-generation attorney, I believe it’s safe to say that practicing law is in my blood. It seems as if the legal field is just part of my genetic makeup and that includes not only the talent and skill it takes to be a successful, efficient attorney but the passion to pursue law in a manner that truly reflects the ideas of liberty, justice, and truth. In 1977, I graduated with my Juris Doctor from the University of Texas – School of Law. Four years prior, I received my Bachelors of Science in economics from Duke University. I believe that my undergraduate degree is one of the many tools that shaped the philosophy of my practice and the area of law I work in today. Personal injury can be absolutely devastating on a person’s life, not to mention the lives of that person’s family members. Whether they depend on his or her care financially or intrinsically, seeing someone who has such a high impact on the quality of your life hurt and injured is traumatic especially when those injuries were caused by someone else’s negligence. With all that has to be overcome during this time, I don’t believe financial burden should be a hardship that’s added to the list of hurdles. This idea is why I launched my own firm over 40 years ago in 1978. My desire is to help people who truly need it. Where money is concerned, there are a few ways I demonstrate this desire.
