Prior to his joining Margolis Edelstein in 1994, he was a Deputy Attorney General of the State of New Jersey, in which he defended tort claims against the State and various public agencies and employees, including New Jersey Transit, Department of Transportation, Department of Environmental Protection, and various members of the judiciary. Larry also served as General Counsel and Chief Operations Officer for Cogan & Gordon, a wholesale distributor of kitchen and bath products.Larry has handled all aspects of litigation, in state and federal courts, involving construction defects, construction site accidents, complex personal injury cases, OSHA compliance, insurance coverage disputes, fire losses, dram shop claims, motor vehicle accidents, and premises liability matters.He has successfully defended contractors, builders, property and business owners and managers, realtors, insurance brokers, product manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies, marinas, restaurants and bars, travel agencies, motor vehicle operators, and auto dealerships in Lemon Law and prior damage disclosure litigation.Larry has also represented contractors in multi-party litigation, arising out of alleged construction defects, at the Renaissance Condominiums in Long Branch, NJ, Plaza Grande Condominiums in Old Bridge, NJ, Levoy Theater in Millville, NJ, and other construction defect cases involving individual homes and multi-unit developments, representing small and medium sized builders.
