Description | Charles Saul represents employers and municipalities in all aspects of labor relations, employment law, and Section 1983 civil rights cases. He has extensive experience in representing these clients both privately and through their insurance carriers.Upon graduating from law school, Charles worked for the National Labor Relations Board, where he tried more than 100 cases. After entering private practice, Charles litigated on behalf of clients in courts throughout the United States, including before the United States Supreme Court, where he was the prevailing attorney in the landmark case of Allegheny County v. ACLU.Charles has experience representing clients before various administrative agencies, such as the EEOC, PHRC, NLRB, PLRB, OSHA, Wage and Hour, Workers’ Compensation, Unemployment Compensation, Labor Management Services, Bureau of Labor Standards, Securities Commission, LCB, Social Security, Patent and Trademark Office, City Planning Commission, City Historic Review Commission, and City Zoning Board.Charles counsels employers on prophylactic, pro-active actions to prevent claims for sexual harassment, disability discrimination, racial discrimination, FLSA overtime claims, and other employment law violations. He also represents management in union organizational elections.Charles is an experienced litigator who has successfully represented clients against suits filed under employment statutes, such as Title VII, the FLSA, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Equal Pay Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, and the Americans With Disabilities Act. Related litigation has included representing clients in claims for breach of non-compete clauses, trademark violations, defamation, wrongful discharge, and invasion of privacy.
